By modernizing government systems and enhancing data analysis, they aim to reduce fraud and save billions. Experts believe DOGE can make significant strides by upgrading outdated technology and strengthening fraud detection systems.
“The lack of modernization of our digital technology at the state government level was a real hindrance to fraud prevention during the pandemic,” Leder-Luis adds.
Addressing fraud presents a clear, actionable goal with widespread political support, and if Musk and Ramaswamy succeed in these reforms, they could achieve significant savings and ensure more efficient use of taxpayer dollars.
