Heading into one of the busiest shopping seasons of the year, Amazon is facing its latest crisis. Amazon employees in 20 countries around the world are set to strike and protest on Black Friday. Forbes spoke with Jay Zagorsky, senior lecturer in markets, public policy, and law, to discuss the potential impact these actions could have on Amazon and consumers.
“Strikes are effective when workers stop working at the moment a business really needs workers. A short term strike primarily aimed at the supply chain for holiday gifts will likely have little impact because Amazon has inventories that allow it to cover a multitude of short term disruptions”
