MSN recently published an article featuring Lecturer of Management & Organizations, Constance Hadley, discussing the challenges associated with remote working.

Despite the benefits of work-from-home policies in the post-covid era, this environment has also created a sense of isolation for workers, often leading to anxiety, depression, and stress. It is possible for managers to take action to help alleviate these feelings, by adding team meetings and activities to the workweek.

This point is emphasized by Constance, who suggests, “Schedule them during the workday. Push back deadlines and reduce workloads if needed, because this is important.”

As remote work environments become more common, there is a need for managers to establish leadership and ensure that their employees remain healthy, comfortable, and productive in the workplace.
