[WBUR] The Business of Boston: How Local Manufacturing Affects Communities and Consumers

June 28, 2022

WBUR Radio Boston recently posted a radio episode featuring insights from Gregory Stoller, Senior Lecturer of Strategy, and Innovation on what local manufacturing means for the country.

With more consumers interested in buying goods locally, manufacturers are setting tones within their communities. Gregory, owner of the blog and host of the podcast, “The Language of Business,” believes that U.S. / local manufacturing has become more common not only because it is less expensive, but also because it helps companies stay local to their communities. Gregory adds that,

“I think more so than ever that I can remember in recent years is that taking a lot of pride in not only ‘Made in America’ but also ‘Made in Massachusetts’ has meant something more significantly than it probably has in a long long time.”

Local manufacturing has become a popular trend post-COVID, and it is working in favor of both consumers and manufacturers.
