BU Today recently highlighted the City of Boston Civic Summit 2025, hosted at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business in partnership with Mayor Michelle Wu.

The summit welcomed more than 300 residents, advocates, and civic leaders for an energizing day of connection, learning, and collective visioning. Framed by the theme “Be the Change,” the event celebrated Boston’s ongoing commitment to community-led progress and inclusive civic leadership.

A standout moment was the inspiring fireside chat with Mayor Michelle Wu and journalist Dart Adams, who urged attendees to transform civic ideals into tangible action. Attendees also took part in hands-on workshops led by Boston University faculty and the City of Boston’s Chief Behavioral Health Officer, exploring topics such as negotiation and influence, sustainable community building, urban planning pathways, and mental health leadership.

The day also featured vibrant panel discussions, skill-building sessions, and a networking lunch that brought together emerging and established changemakers—sparking new connections and collaborations across Boston’s neighborhoods.
