In December 2020, 130 MBA students joined Tobias Levkovich (Questrom ’85), Chief US Equity Strategist at Citi, for a virtual town hall on the state of the stock market. Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Research and Professor of Finance Marcel Rindisbacher moderated the discussion with Levkovich, who has spent his 35-year career on Wall Street. At Citi, Levkovich is a member of the investment committee, the group responsible for compiling the recommended stock list and setting the firm’s sector allocation. Levokovich opened with a broad overview of the toll COVID-19 has taken on financial markets and then segued to the results of a survey Citi conducted with 125 clients. He summarizes their outlook as to where the market is currently, what earnings will be like in 2021 and where they think opportunities may lie.
