Insights@Questrom Live: Who is James Rhee? And why is he First on Everybody’s List?

Please join us in welcoming James Rhee to our Insights@Questrom Live Event. James Rhee is on a first name basis with Brene Brown, the NAACP, and the Dalai Lama. His titles include CEO, Board Chair, Social Entrepreneur & Former Venture Capitalist. He will be at Questrom to tell you why he left private equity to go into retail and ultimately start a movement.

James catalyzes and invests in leaders who drive change. At Howard University, he serves as the Johnson Chair of Entrepreneurship, Professor of Entrepreneurship, and Senior Adviser to the Center for Women, Gender, and Global Leadership. He is also Executive-in-Residence and Strategic Advisor at the MIT Leadership Center.

For many years, he has also taught a winter session course at Duke Law School entitled, “The Way It All Works: Investing, Negotiating, and Operating in the Real World,” a course that teaches the systems of “Money, Life, and Joy.” He also teaches an executive education class for MIT Sloan School of Management called “Impactful Leadership: Operationalizing Purpose.”

James is in sync with our Questrom brand when he says we should all lead with our hearts and the value of kindness matters. Can kindness help in reshaping business? Can you invest in a culture of compassion?  Check out his Ted Talk here, join us, and bring your best questions!
