Cointelegraph recently interviewed Anne Connelly, Faculty of Questrom School of Business, on the past, present, and future impact of decentralized autonomous organizations, or DAOs, on corporate management.
The article details DAOs’ unique characteristics and the potential they have in replacing traditional corporations. DAOs are defined as being leaderless internet-native entities where key decisions are typically made by consensus, meaning they are not run by boards or managers. Instead, they are governed by algorithms or democratic processes. In explaining her belief in DAOs as “the future of work,” Anne elaborates on their advantages.
“In an ever globalized society, the benefits of being able to hire internationally and pay across borders in crypto will provide an unprecedented competitive advantage.”

Lecturer, Information Systems
