Forbes recently published an article featuring insight from Constance Hadley, Lecturer, Management and Organizations, on the loneliness that comes with a hybrid work schedule.
Although working from home has benefits, research shows that hybridity often negatively impacts employee well-being and quality of performance. It is important for team leaders to help prevent and combat this loneliness with team connection/sharing interactions. This point is emphasized with reference to Constance’s work, “Think about how to structure work projects for more interaction and engagement. You may have to restructure the way you do things now to involve more people. This, in turn, may require some skill and training in the art of collaboration so that team members are able to work together effectively.”
With hybridity growing in popularity, enforcing team unity is crucial for the overall well-being of employees.
