BU Today recently published an article announcing Marcus Bellamy, Associate Professor of Operations and Technology Management, as being one of the twenty-five faculty being promoted to the rank of associate professor with tenure.
In a letter sent to BU faculty, Jean Morrison, provost and chief academic officer, wrote, “We have enjoyed watching these talented colleagues grow into teachers and scholars of national impact and recognition.” These faculty members have fulfilled their promise as they began their careers at Boston University in fields as diverse as natural, health, and social sciences, arts, history, engineering, economics, and communication.
Through analytics and visualization techniques, Marcus examines how suppliers can help a company absorb new technology and be resilient to disruption risks. He is a former Isabel Anderson Career Development Professor at BU and a former recipient of the Academy of Management’s Best Paper in Supply Chain Management Award. In addition to presenting at conferences, he has published two book chapters and a dozen articles in top engineering and business journals, including Systems Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, and Journal of Operations Management.
