Wired recently published an article featuring Tim Simcoe, Professor of Strategy and Innovation, discussing Elon Musk’s new stainless steel Cybertruck and what this means for Tesla.
Some argue that Cybertruck is not the option for traditional truckers who prefer function over form, while approximately 2 million “reservationists” have preordered this Blade Runner-inspired electric pickup.
Simcoe adds, “All kinds of people buy these vehicles because they are useful, and as electric trucks—including Cybertruck—start providing better performance at competitive prices, we will see adoption among all demographics.”
The Cybertruck is already generating headlines and other comments mainly for its appearance compared to other Tesla models, despite the market for these “monster” electric vehicles being small.
