The National Desk recently published an article featuring Jim French, Senior Lecturer of Management and Organizations, discussing the departure of Boeing’s CEO Dave Calhoun at the end of the year following production and safety issues with Boeing jets.
After several high-profile crashes, panel blowouts, and other alarming incidents involving Boeing planes, the company is now facing pressure from stakeholders to regain public trust.
“It’s very detrimental to the employees in the sense that the continuity of implementing new systems, possibly new values, to changing of the culture, all of this takes a great deal of time,” French adds.
The Federal Aviation Administration is reassessing its oversight procedures considering recent events, indicating a need for increased scrutiny of Boeing’s operations.
