CBS Boston recently published insight featuring Jay Zagorsky, Senior Lecturer in Markets, Public Policy, and Law, relating to President Biden’s recent decision to release oil from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
Jay claims that the average driver in Massachusetts will save $0.25 a day due to this decision. And, since President Biden will be enacting this policy for 180 days, Massachusetts drivers on average are expected to save $45 in total. However, Jay believes there is a better and faster way for these oil prices to drop.
“The best thing is for the war [in Ukraine] to end quickly for gas prices to come down,”
