Cornerstone Research recently posted an interview featuring Constance Hadley, Lecturer of Management and Organizations, on the difficulties of achieving team unity in the post-pandemic workplace.
Team structures have a significant impact on the success of any company and the fulfillment of employees’ lives both in and out of the office. Prior to the pandemic, many employees encountered feelings of loneliness, and the pandemic fueled this issue. Constance refers to one of her studies, adding that, “Most respondents to our second study, conducted in April 2020, reported that though they belonged to multiple remote teams, they found it challenging to connect with coworkers on a personal level.”
Managers and employees are responsible for the well-being of their teams and can increase positive feelings in the workplace by fostering connectivity amongst employees for meaningful interactions.
