The official Launch Conference for Invest: Boston, where influential business, educational and civic leaders from across the region gathered to share high-level insights and perspectives on Boston’s economy and growth trajectory was held on November 21, 2023 at the UMass Club in downtown Boston.
During the event, three panel discussions addressed the changing real estate landscape and its impact on life in the region, the “Longevity Economy,” as well as how the higher education ecosystem in the state contributes to the economic success of Greater Boston and Massachusetts as a whole.
The third and final panel discussion was moderated by Susan Fournier, Dean of Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. In the discussion, ‘Critical Mass: How the state’s higher-ed ecosystem is propelling the future workforce and entrepreneurial community,’ Dean Fournier and a panel of higher education leaders discuss the significance of the state’s higher education ecosystem and its importance to Greater Boston’s economic growth and innovation. Dean Fournier was joined on the panel by Western New England University President Robert Johnson and Boston Architectural College President Mahesh Daas.
The event included many of Boston’s biggest names in business, including Questrom MBA graduate and John Hancock’s President and CEO, Brooks Tingle and public officials like Massachusetts Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development Lauren Jones.
