Unveiling Truths: Empowering Women in the Workplace

The BU College of Communications recently hosted a COMTalk, part of an ongoing virtual series, featuring speakers Bonnie Hammer, a Boston University alumna and Vice Chairman of NBC Universal, and Susan Fournier, Dean of Questrom School of Business. The discussion was moderated by Erica Hill, also a Boston University alumna and Anchor and National Correspondent at CNN. The focus was on Bonnie Hammer’s book, “15 Lies Women Are Told at Work: And the Truth We Need to Succeed.” The conversation delved into common misconceptions in the workplace that hold women back, such as “fake it until you make it” and “you can have it all.” This panel of esteemed women leaders and mentors aimed to debunk these myths and reveal the real truths about achieving success.
