WBUR Radio Boston recently recorded a radio episode featuring insight from Moshe Cohen, Senior Lecturer of Management, Operations, and Organizations on the best practices for negotiating.
Moshe, author of the book, “Collywobbles: How to Negotiate When Negotiation Makes You Nervous,” has helped many Questrom students navigate both their personal and professional lives through negotiation tactics. He discusses both competitive and collaborative negotiations and when to use each technique. Moshe adds that,
“While in truth many negotiations contain elements of both, the skills you use for the competitive part and the collaborative part are actually quite distinct from each other, so that’s why we use them separately.”
Moshe’s course on negotiation remains in popular demand since he shares his best tips on negotiating any situation, whether it’s fighting for a higher salary or deciding where to go for dinner.
