Harvard Business Review recently published an article co-authored by Jimmy Hexter, Professor of the Practice, Strategy and Innovation, on using and leveraging generative AI, as well as how to explore its opportunities and threats.
In a new category of work, known as WINS Work, tasks and functions rely on the manipulation and interaction of words, images, numbers, and sounds. With this, leaders can identify the vulnerability of their business to Generative AI and help form a response plan.
“GenAI has the potential to be power tools for WINS work. It can generate new prose, computer code, images, narration, music, and videos as well as ingest and summarize, critique, improve, and reformat almost any manner of document or analysis.”
For companies to initiate GenAI, it’s important to become knowledgeable in the tools that drive productivity, change, and innovation within an industry.
